Bonnaroo crunch granola recipe


Bonnaroo is the largest music festival in the United States, attracting close to 80,000 people each year.  With temperatures in the mid to upper 90's, it's important to stay hydrated and energized.  Packed with nuts and seeds, this granola will help keep you going all day and into the late night sets.

Bonnaroo Crunch


  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup dry roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ
  • 2/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Sunmaid fruit bits


  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, wheat germ, seeds, spices and brown sugar.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the syrup, oil vanilla and salt.
  4. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes so that it browns evenly.
  5. Remove from oven and let it cool. Pour into a bowl and add the dried fruit. Mix until evenly distributed.

    This looks good to take hiking too. Lots of just the right kind of fuel to take with you on your way out for a long day of enjoying something fun like music or nature. It also looks really tasty! Good blend!
