Bonnaroo 2013 lineup clue 7 released

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival released the 7th in its 2013 Lineup Clue game today, January 22. As is the norm for the first of Bonnaroo's Tuesday and Thursday release schedule, this clue was a scavenger hunt, with the clue hidden this week on a park bench in New York City's Madison Square Park. Bonnaroo clue sleuths quickly located the clue and posted it up on the Bonnaroo Facebook page for all to take a crack at.

Here's the full clue in its usual haiku form:

Eric B's partner

Is paid in full with pesos

On the Harlem streets

While there have been a few other guesses, the overwhelming consensus on Facebook, Twitter, and Inforoo all seem to agree on this clue's solution. All signs point to A$AP Rocky.

The first line likely refers to A$AP Rocky's birth name, Rakim Mayers. He was named after Rakim after one half of the hip-hop duo Eric B. and Rakim, hence "Eric B's partner."

One of A$AP Rocky's first hits was a song called "Peso" off the album "Live. Love. A$AP." Considering that mixtape is what brought Rocky mainstream attention and led to his first record deal, you could certainly say he "Is paid in full with pesos."

The third line is a similarly straightforward reference to A$AP Rocky. Rocky was born and raised in Harlem and is one of the biggest stars of the Harlem music scene.

Of course, very few Bonnaroo clues have been that quickly solved so either the Cluemasters have cut fans a break after 6 brutally difficult clues, some of which still have no majority consensus solution or this is a brilliant swerve and refers to another artist.

Think you know the solution? You can play the Bonnaroo 2013 lineup clue game by posting on Bonnaroo's Facebook page under the clue's comments, on Twitter using hashtag #rooclues, or on the Inforoo message board, where some of Bonnaroo's most seasoned clue veterans are busily dissecting each clue.

Or if you do believe this clue to be solved but still want to give the Bonnaroo 2013 lineup clue game a try, you can still work on Clues #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #6, all of which are still being hotly debated.
