The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival released the 12th in their Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup Clue game today, 2/7. As has been the norm for the Thursday edition of this year's twice weekly game, the haiku that makes up this Bonnaroo Clue could be found by visiting the Bonnaroo365 YouTube channel, the Bonnaroo App, and Radio Bonnaroo.
When the three pieces are put together, the haiku is as follows:
Pavement sticks to feet
At front of hotel
Mixed from a blue book
This may be one of the most difficult clues in the series so far. Some have said "pavement sticks to feet" may be a reference to a "tar heel" or an artist from North Carolina. Others think it may refer to heat or freshly pour asphalt.
The video clue, along with "at front of the hotel", features a dancing monkey and a guy holding what looks to be a doll of wrestler Diamond Dallas Page in front of the Oliver Hotel, but it's unclear if some, all, or none of those things relate to the text clue.
Mixed from a blue book is the real confuser. The best guess here is the automobile valuing tool Kelly Blue Book. There doesn't seem to be a good second guess. That could refer to a band with a car in its name or a car themed song, or an artist whose first or last name is Kelly.
Popular guesses so far are R. Kelly, Jeff Mangum, The Eagles, and Van Morrison although none has even a basic consensus yet.
If you think you might have a guess to contribute, you can do so in one of three ways. You can leave your guess on the Bonnaroo Facebook page's comments for the clue post. You could debate with fellow Bonnaroo fans on Twitter using the hashtag #rooclues. Or you could join in the clue solving at the Inforoo Message Board, where some of the most hardcore fans have seen a lot of success in recent years at deciphering Bonnaroo clues.
While several of the other 11 Bonnaroo lineup clues have reached a basic consensus answer, many of them remain unsolved.
