Bonita Springs National Art Festival continues today from 10-5

The Bonita Springs National Art Festival continues today from 10-5 p.m. at the Promenade on Bonita Bay. Hosted by the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs, this exceptional outdoor exhibition features 211 nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

This spectacular festival is known for first-rate originality and excellence. It features one of a kind paintings, glass, jewelry, clay works, mixed media, sculpture and photography. This high quality fine art and fine craft event offers a rare opportunity for art lovers in Southwest Florida to meet and obtain the work of exceptional, award-winning artists from 36 states, Canada and Europe.

The festival is being held at the Promenade at Bonita Bay, a lifestyle shopping plaza known for its character, charm and ambiance. The Promenade is located at South Bay Drive and Tamiami Trail, a mile and one-half north of Bonita Beach Road.

All proceeds derived from the festival support Center for the Arts programming and its mission to provide opportunities for artistic expression, education and appreciation to everyone regardless of economic ability.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have attended our 23 festivals at the Promenade," observes Susan Bridges, president of the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs. "They come back each year because they know the art is truly outstanding and there is something for everyone. It is like a walking tour of exceptional art galleries, but this one is set up outside in sunny Florida.”

While yesterday was characterized by clearing skies and an afternoon of adundant sunshine, the forecast for today is not as welcoming. But chilly temperatures and overcast skies mean that golfers and beach goers can spend the day attending this community event, which is supported by The Promenade at Bonita Bay, Premier Properties, The Lutgert Group and the Bonita Daily News & Bonita Banner.

There is plenty of free parking. Food and beverages are available on site. While there is no
admission fee for this event, Center for the Arts volunteers will be asking for an optional $5 donation from visitors to support Center for the Arts community programs that provide arts experiences year round for thousands right here in our own communities.
