On "Bones" this coming season, we are going to see a little bit of a different dynamic. After all, Brennan is now pregnant -- and with that, it's not exactly is going to be easy for her to go out in do some field work.
As for who is going to be stepping in to Emily Deschanel's shoes, John Francis Daley explains that we are going to see a bit more of Sweets as a result:
"Since Sweets is the only other FBI member of the team, that’s kind of what they’re setting up. And Sweets is delighted about that, because he gets to play tough guy.”
As for how long Brennan is going to be sidelined due to her pregnancy, we have to figure at some point this spring she will be out yet again doing her thing. (After all, this really wouldn't be the same show without some Booth / Brennan crime-solving!)
Thanks to the pregnancy, "Bones" will not be back for its new season until this coming November -- so the wait is still a long one.
