Yes, there's the problem of Pelant (Andrew Leeds) being out there to be dealt with in "Bones" season 9 and there are the issues between Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) after the evil genius forced Booth to turn down her proposal, but there's so much more coming up this fall. On Friday, Aug. 16, Entertainment Weekly posted spoilers about season 9.
When a show has been on this long, there are bound to be a few questions that don't get answers or a recurring theme of some sort. For "Bones," both are true, and executive producer Stephen Nathan has revealed that fans will be getting some answers: "We're going to be looking at 4:47, the clock mystery. Perhaps we're even going to find out what Brennan wrote to Booth when she was buried alive. Lots of character mysteries will be resolved this season." Something that fans have noticed is that recurring "4:47," which has popped up everywhere, even in weird hallucination/dream/post-surgery sequences. As for the letter, could that be something that helps the couple get past their current problems and could even be a wedding present she gives him. After all, that wedding is coming up this season.
Also coming up this season is finding out more about one of the other characters, Hodgins (TJ Thyne), specifically his family history, which is "far more involved than he ever thought," according to the EP. "A bill comes due that he never thought he had, but it had always been paid by the estate. Now, it comes to him and the bill is for a situation he could have never envisioned." Remember, last season, Pelant forced Hodgins to make a choice that left him watching his bank account drain down to zero. With this situation coming up for Hodgins, we have a feeling that's going to be brought up again. But moving on to more important questions, what is this bill for and who else is happy we're going to find out more about Hodgins' family history?
"Bones" season 9 will air Mondays at 8 p.m. on FOX. What are you most looking forward to about season 9?
