"Bones" season 9 has premiered, and Booth and Brennan are working on getting their relationship back on track. On Monday, Sept. 16, we interviewed executive producer Hart Hanson via email about what else is coming up this season on "Bones."
Examiner.com: What can you say about what's coming up with Hodgins' family and what it means for his relationship with Angela?
Hart Hanson: "We hope to do a story introducing a family member for Hodgins that he didn’t know he had. It raises some issues for him that affect his relationship with Angela and most importantly, affect what he thinks of himself as a father. What’s a family?"
Will any of the family members in the wedding episode be back at any other time this season?
"If our plans unfold then "yes"."
Angela's Brennan's maid of honor, so who's Booth's best man?
"You’re just going to have to watch to see. Hint: it’s a meaningful choice."
In the premiere, we see Hodgins defending Booth. With Angela mad at Booth for some time, will that come up again and will that change Booth and Hodgins' dynamic this season from what we've seen in the previous years?
"The issue between Angela and Booth doesn’t just go away. Does it affect Hodgins and Booth? Not profoundly because, hey, they’re guys and expect this kind of support from each other. Which is not to say it doesn’t go unnoticed."
"Bones" season 9 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox. Check out more scoop from EPs Hanson and Stephen Nathan here. What are you most excited to see this season?
