"Bones" season 8 may not have ended well for Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel), all because of Pelant's (Andrew Leeds) evil genius-ness, but there's plenty to look forward to when the show returns this fall, and on Tuesday, Aug. 27, FOX released a new preview teasing what's to come in season 9.
When "Bones" season 8 ended, Pelant hadn't just done damage to Booth and Brennan's relationship. Sweets (John Francis Daley) also suffered because of the serial killer, and so when season 9 begins, we're going to see something different from the FBI psychologist. In fact, the new promo to the left teases just that, as Booth finds him after he hasn’t checked in for a while. "Yeah, I've been really busy," is all Sweets has to say, but clearly things have changed since Pelant for him.
Check out the video to see Deschanel and Boreanaz discussing the show's place in the schedule and dropping some hints about what's coming up. "Season 9 will have a lot of surprises," Deschanel teases, with Boreanaz adding, "You'll see a lot of change within the characters" and later "Some people's hearts will be tugged at obviously again." Plus, Hodgins has "a once in a lifetime opportunity" coming up; is that related to what we'll be learning about his family history?
"Bones" season 9 will air Mondays at 8 p.m. this fall on FOX, beginning Sept. 16. What do you think of the new preview?
