David Boreanaz is taking a step behind the camera one more time this season, this time for the finale, "The Recluse in the Recliner." On Tuesday, May 6, FOX released promotional photos teasing what to expect when Booth may find himself in over his head on a case.

In the season 9 finale, the Jeffersonian team investigates the death of Wesley Foster, a conspiracy blog writer who had made plans to meet up with Booth to discuss a previous case before his unfortunate (and untimely) death. The team must try to figure out who is behind the death and how that previous case is relevant since whoever killed Foster clearly did not want him to make that meeting with Booth.

As Booth and the Jeffersonian team dig deeper into the conspiracy surrounding Foster's death, it becomes evident that Booth may be in over his head. Plus, his future with the FBI is put in question. It's important to note the guest cast: AUSA Caroline Julian (Patricia Belcher) and Director Victor Stark (Sterling Macer, Jr.), as well as a congressman, a congresswoman, three reporters, a junior agent and a paramedic. Hopefully that last one isn't anything to worry about, but this is a season finale.

The slideshow of "The Recluse in the Recliner" photos offers a look at the Jeffersonian team examining the remains inside an airstream trailer and back at the lab with intern Colin Fisher (Joel David Moore) and Booth being questioned by a Senate subcommittee and then facing questions from the media as he leaves with Brennan (Emily Deschanel). However, the ones to take special note of are the photos showing Booth at home preparing for a possible confrontation – and it looks like he's arming himself with more than just a gun.

"Bones" season 9 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on FOX. "The Recluse in the Recliner" airs My 19. What do you think of these season 9 finale photos?
