Pelant (Andrew Leeds) is still very much a threat in "Bones" season 9 even though he hasn't been seen on screen yet this fall. However, episode 4, "The Sense in the Sacrifice," for which Fox released promotional photos on Monday, Sept. 23, is going to bring the focus back to the evil genius.
When Pelant was last seen on "Bones," he was using Sweets' (John Francis Daley) work to his advantage and forcing Booth (David Boreanaz) to turn down Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) proposal. When they were first introduced to his "work," it was with a puzzle in the bones and a message. We don't have an official description yet for this episode, but the captions of the photos do reveal a few things—and that's that Pelant has left them another message.
As you can see in the slideshow of the "The Sense in the Sacrifice" photos, the victim's remains have been left displayed like a replica of a famous painting, and while looking over the bones, Brennan is going to find a clue. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan will be discussing old cases that could be tied to the recent murder of an FBI agent. Plus, they question a surgeon who may have been involved in that murder. Did Pelant recruit this surgeon?
We know that Pelant has to be dealt with before the big wedding coming up, and that's happening sooner rather than later this season. Will the clue Brennan finds in the bones be what they need to take care of him once and for all?
"Bones" season 9 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox. What do you think of the episode 4 "The Sense in the Sacrifice" photos?
