"Bones" has returned to Channel 10 in Tempe with new episodes. On Tuesday, Jan. 15, Screen Spy shared the first photos released for "Bones" episode 8.13 titled "The Twist in the Plot." On the episode teased in the new photos, Brennan and her team will find two bodies buried in the same burial plot. One of the bodies will belong to a female cancer patient, and the second will belong to her guide. The case will lead Booth and Brennan to discuss their own post-death arrangements.
As for the series, "Bones" has been picked up by Fox for a ninth season. Creator Hart Hanson spoke about the return of Pelant to the series. He will appear on the next episode. Hanson said the following, according to TV Fanatic:
"Pelant is a deadly fellow. You get a sense of what his targets and desires are for our group. He does not like our gang. He does not like them because when they’re all together they’re smarter than he is and he doesn’t like that."
Ratings for the series also saw an increase with the return of the series. Before the two new episodes that aired on Monday, the last episode had aired back on Dec. 3. The dual dose of "Bones" saw an 11% increase in the numbers from that episode, according to Deadline on Tuesday.
