Update 7/28/14: Rescued!!
Two dogs at the Ramona Humane Society in San Jacinto, Calif., have a unique, touching story that has the potential of ending in a tragic manner if help is not found soon.
The dogs, named "Max" and "Guppy," seem to be destined to be together. The pair came to the Ramona Humane Society in the past, were adopted to two different families and then wound up as strays once again. Amazingly, against all odds, the dogs found each other on the streets after being adopted.
The following information was written about the dogs:
I usually don't ask that dogs that come in together, exit together. I figure if any shelter dog is lucky enough to get a family that wants it, I hesitate to complicate matters by saying "they are a package deal." But, in this case...I think these 2 doggies should remain together, if at all possible.
These 2 came in together previously, actually got adopted by different families, became strays again and miraculously found each other again on the streets, and are back again as strays!!! So, if we could pull another miracle out of the hat for these 2 girls, who obviously love each other very much...and find a home/foster/rescue that would take them together...well, that would just be fantastic!
On Monday morning, the rescue coordinator for the facility confirmed that the dogs must be rescued, or adopted, by Tuesday or they will be put down.
