Two beautiful German shepherds were surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control in Baldwin Park, Calif., on Dec. 20, and today, they are still waiting for someone to help them walk free from the facility.
The dogs, Dolly and Tofu, are undoubtedly shell-shocked over their new "home."
Gone are all things familiar...the voices they once loved, the smells they knew, the toys that they called their own.
Notes for the dogs state that they should be adopted together and unfortunately, they are "rescue only."
German shepherds are known to do poorly in kennel situations - their sensitive personalities can make them either "shut down" or become reactive to the strangers who approach their kennel runs.
Please take a moment to network on behalf of this stunning duo. (Note - information on Facebook thread indicates that the dogs were surrendered by a soldier who was deployed. I am currently out of the country and unable to call the facility to verify this information)
