At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards held last night, Jan. 26, in Los Angeles, "Skyfall," finally garnered Bond some awards that were long overdue. The most recent in a long line of James Bond films, "Skyfall" has won the most awards for the franchise.
Not eligible for a 2012 Grammy nomination because of a late release date, of October 23, 2012, "Skyfall" earned nominations in the film categories at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media (Thomas Newman) and for Best Song Written For Visual Media (Adele); winning both. The eligibility period for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards was October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013, according to the Recording Academy.
