One of the longest running and most popular of all television Westerns, a new season of "Bonanza" is now available on DVD with brilliant picture and sound, original music and special features.
"The Official Fifth Season, Volume One and Volume Two" follows the High Sierra adventures of the Cartwright family, wise patriarch Ben Cartwright (Lorne Greene) and his three sons, Adam (Pernell Roberts), Hoss (Dan Blocker) and “Little Joe” (Michael Landon), as they operate their sprawling timberland ranch, the Ponderosa, in the midst of dangerous and lawless 19thcentury Nevada.
In Season 5, Joe proposes marriage, Adam heads down the aisle, and Hoss helps an opera singer who may be a runaway slave.
Fans can now enjoy this nine-disc collection that mixes action and adventure with personal relationships and emotions -- qualities that have helped the series stand the test of time with generations of viewers.
