Bon Jovi single ‘Because We Can’ tops iTunes charts in 12 countries

Bon Jovi’s new song “Because We Can” has burned up the iTunes charts, giving the iconic New Jersey rockers’ latest single the best iTunes era launch of their career.

According to a news release posted Tuesday on AEGLive.com, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” hitmakers' debut release from their upcoming studio album “What About Now,” earned No. 1 status on iTunes in 12 countries and hit Top 5 in 24 countries.

The single, which currently sits at No. 3 in iTune Canada’s Top 10 Rock Songs, is part of the band’s massive promotion of their upcoming 12th studio album, which will be available for iTunes presale on Feb. 12 and will hit shelves worldwide on March 26.

The band released the official video for “Because We Can” this week, premiering the clip via the new Bon Jovi app.

The “Because We Can” Canadian tour leg kicks off on Feb. 13 in Montreal, QC at Bell Centre and finishes up on April 5 in Winnipeg, MB at MTS Centre.
