When Bon Jovi's daughter overdosed on heroin, the phone call he received was a father's worst nightmare. According to the Huffington Post on March 21, Bon Jovi calls it the "worst phone call ever."
The singer who rose to fame in the '80s with hits like "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Never Say Goodbye" talked to Katie Couric about the day he received that horrific phone call four months ago. When Bon Jovi's daughter overdosed in her dorm room at college, the singer said he was not even aware of her drug use and it took him by surprise.
The singer also partially blamed himself for her problems saying that being Bon Jovi's daughter weighed heavily on her. He said that adds a lot of pressure to her life, more even than normal kids who have a lot of pressure to live up to on their own.
However, Bon Jovi said his daughter is doing much better now, that she is "healthy and whole," and the family is working on getting past this and moving on into the future.
After Bon Jovi's daughter overdosed, he said he surrounded himself with the best support team he had and that it is thanks to them that they are where they are at today.
