Bon Jovi lands fifth No 1 album in North America

Bon Jovi fans have given the New Jersey rock icons their fifth No. 1 album in North America.

According to an article released on Billboard.com, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” hitmakers’ new release “What About Now” has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album charts, edging out fellow veteran rocker David Bowie’s “The Next Day,” which placed second.

The chart-topping debut earned Bon Jovi their third straight No. 1 album.

The band has now earned five No. 1 albums and all twelve of their studio releases have charted the Billboard 200 top 10.

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi posted a video message on the band’s official website, thanking fans for helping the band earning earn the No. 1 record and No. 1 tour in North America.

Bon Jovi will recommence its Because We Can World Tour next month, playing a string of dates in Canada, including: April 2 in Calgary, AB at Scotiabank Saddledome, April 3 in Edmonton, AB at Rexall Place and April 5 in Winnipeg, MB at MTS Centre.
