After the torment from weeks of winter, it is warming up this weekend at Artspace where Falls Church Arts introduces the “Bold & Bright” show curated by David Barr.

“Originally from Pittsburgh, David Barr studied art and graduated from Slippery Rock University. David has lived in the DC area for 20 years and currently paints at his home studio in Falls Church, Virginia. He is a member of Washington Project for the Arts, Falls Church Arts and McLean Project for the Arts.”

Barr’s works set a high bar for “Bold & Bright.”

There were 85 entries for this show, and we shall see who made the cut. Anticipated is a variety of work from artists who employ different media and techniques, and who address vastly different ideas.

Come to the opening Saturday night where it is a festive party atmosphere surrounded by beautiful art and wonderful people. Falls Church Arts at Artspace is a destination for culture and fun.

I will be there to document the event, and maybe you will see one of my paintings.

Reception at 7 p.m., be there or be square.
