Celebrating 100 years of fresh local dairy products, Boice Bros. Dairy plans an Across the Generations Birthday Bash on Sunday, July 20, 12-4 p.m. in the Rondout. It’s a centenary of a birthday bash all afternoon on the waterfront at the foot of Broadway in Kingston. Put on your dancin’ shoes, grab the kids and come on down!

Plans are for nonstop music provided by Master Kick, Saints of Swing, Percussion Orchestra of Kingston, Energy Dance Company and many more, all live broadcast on WDST. In addition to the live music there will be entertainment featuring mimes, jugglers, face painters, hula-hoop artists, to name but a few. There will also be prizes, food and the longest ice cream sundae in the world!

Running the full length of the promenade along the Rondout will be a record-breaking and eminently edible Boice Bros. ice cream sundae! That’s right – attendees will be invited to help make and eat the longest ice cream sundae ever. It is expected to be longer than five football fields and weigh more than one ton. This event is FREE to the public.

Shuttle buses will be provided from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. with stops at Uptown Plaza, Midtown Municipal lot (by Frank Guidos) and the end of Broadway in the Rondout. (Please consider using the bus as parking will be limited in the Rondout.)

Across the Generations Birthday Bash is also a fund raiser for the Hudson River Maritime Museum's and Clearwater Organization’s Hudson River Stewards Program, which is an environmental education program for Kingston 4th graders.

According to their website, “Boice Bros. Dairy is NY State's oldest family-run dairy, providing the Hudson Valley with farm-fresh dairy products. Our hormone and antibiotic-free dairy products are available at many local retail locations. Boise Bros. Dairy also offers comprehensive creamery services to businesses.”
