Ezra Klein's Wonkbook describes Speaker Boehner’s opening bid in the budget battle as a woeful cry for help. Boehner has marked up exactly what his fellow Republicans have requested and to many analysts, it isn't serious. In fact, it is crazy irresponsibility.
Probably, most citizens anticipated that the GOP would once again stumble in governance by failing to collaborate, compromise, and reach consensus that is the democratic process.
Voters might well conclude, if they can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If they can’t cook, they’ll be chopped.
Under Speaker Boehner, Congressional House Republicans have lost their dignity. Dignity is coming to work to actually solve problems and produce workable legislation. This Congress appears to want to ignore problems and do nothing, and when they do want something like the Keystone XL Pipelline, they blatantly want to strip away environmental protection that would make the project remotely feasible and acceptable.
So, like John Boehner, American’s are as exhausted as he is dealing with the House Republicans. That can only mean a sea change in November.

John Boehner isn't even trying to pretend his House of Representatives is a sane place anymore.
The House GOP's debt limit bill -- obtained by the National Review -- isn't a serious governing document. It's not even a plausible opening bid. It's a cry for help.
