Boehner didn't cave on sequestration at this time

Tonight at midnight the deep cuts will start to take effect as both parties in Congress failed to come up with an alternate plan to avoid the 2.3% budget cuts required by law.

Did any of the Republicans believe this day would come? Not likely if you look at the past examples displayed by the current Speaker of the House John Boehner. He talks tough to the press, colleges and members of townhall communities but in the end, at the final moment he caves in giving the other side what they wanted and ultimately increasing our debt burden in the process.

But not this time, the speaker stood strong. Speaker of the House John Boehner didn't cave on sequestration at this time. Tonight at midnight the deep cuts will start to take place as the president signs the order earlier today to have the law go into effect and cuts to be made.

The talk all across the country for the past few weeks coming out of the administration was jobs will be lost by first responders, teachers, custodians and what not. All across the nation we listened to the doom and gloom one more time as President Obama attempted to divide this country once again.

It didn't work this time. With all the doom and gloom scenario's the public started to distrust his words, his motive and now during the past few days the rhetoric and talking points have changed as the lies coming from just about every agency in this country.

The Department of Homeland Security started releasing illegal immigrants held in jail insisting there was no funds available because of the sequestration budget cuts. Unfortunately for Janet Napolitano the people asked why they were being released when the cuts haven't taken place yet. In addition the cuts are not cuts to the budget of last year but cuts to the increase to the budget from this year.

Yet, Ms Napolitano insists she was not aware of the detainees being released and admits it was poor timing on the part of the department. Yesterday Politico quoted her in a statement where she expressed her concern for the American citizens as she stated “We are always going to put safety first, and that’s why we’re not going to be abbreviating our safety procedures or any of that.”

We find it hard to believe that our safety is the first thought in their minds when they release individuals who are incarcerated in a legal system for violations of the law and released under false pretenses.

As we move toward the cuts maybe our leaders will make a stand and take a cut in their salaries and the money in their coffers to travel back and forth to their constituents to help keep first responders, teachers and all the rest at their jobs.

There are billions of dollars sitting in unoccupied buildings owned by the federal government that would help our nation accept these terrible cuts. There are hundreds of millions in testing done each year that is needless but done to payback somebody for something.

Let's look at these areas and I guarantee there will not be one job lose at the Federal level.
