Have you ever thought about getting into bodybuilding? Whether you’re a hardcore lifter or just like to do a little resistance training to stay fit, you might want to check out the Bodybuilding.com Fitness Expo, also known as BFE. The event goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Qwest Arena in Boise. It’s free, and the first 5,000 attendees will get a free BFE t-shirt. There will be celebrity appearances, book signings, fitness and nutrition information, and much more.
Special guests include actor and fitness enthusiast Mario Lopez, who will be signing his book, Extra Lean Family. Also scheduled to appear are exercise physiologist Jimmy Pena, who will be signing his book PRAYFIT: Your Guide to a Healthy Body and Stronger Faith, actor and comedian Terry Crews, fitness celebrity Jamie Eason, plus professional bodybuilders and MMA fighters. There will be lots to see and do. The day kicks off with a Crossfit competition, followed by fitness demonstrations, wheelchair pro guest posing, amateur strongman exhibition, an eating challenge, a professional strongman grip demonstration, a skate and BMX demonstration, and more.
You can also check out an extreme pogo demonstration throughout the day. And if you really want to show off your strength, check out the all-day bench press competition outside the Grove Hotel. You can sign up at the door. The winner will be the person with the most reps of 225 pounds throughout the day. There will be a cash prize for the top three finishers.
The event closes with the Bodybuilding.com FIT BODY Competition at the Knitting Factory, which runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
