The body of 21-year-old Sarah Lindsey from Sherman, Texas was found deceased in a rural area of Grayson County earlier today. Shortly after finding Lindsey’s body, her boyfriend, Gregory Bailey was arrested and charged with murder.
Ms. Lindsey was reported missing on February 7, 2013 by her boyfriend, Gregory Bailey.
After searching Ms. Lindsey’s residence, evidence indicated that she may have been a victim of foul play.
Detectives of the Sherman Police department worked through the night searching areas surrounding Ms. Lindsey’s neighborhood.
The search was conducted by Sherman Police and Fire department as well as students of the Hazco Fire Academy.
Evidence discovered during the investigation led officers to believe that Ms. Lindsey’s boyfriend had murdered her. Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on February 8, 2013 detectives obtained an arrest warrant and arrested 31-year-old Gregory Shane Bailey at 1034 Star Street in Denison, Texas. Following the arrest, Bailey was booked at the Grayson County jail for the murder of Sarah Lindsey.
Neighbors reported not seeing Ms. Lindsey 10 days before Bailey reporting her as missing. Ms. Lindsey leaves behind two children.
