A body found off of Center Road in the Town of Pharsalia, N.Y. has been identified on Thursday.
The medical examiner confirmed that the body belongs to Jennifer Ramsaran, from New Berlin who has been missing since Dec. 11, 2012, reports WBNG news.
Ramsaran, 36, went missing after leaving her home to go to Destiny USA in Syracuse. She never returned home.
Jennifer's vehicle, a maroon 2006 Chrysler Town and Country minivan was found on Plank Road Manor in Norwich on the following Sunday. After investigating the vehicle the Chenango County deputies said that Jennifer may have changed the color of her hair.
Then more than two months later, on Tuesday police located a body of a nude woman in the Chenango County town of Pharsalia off of Center Road. It appeared the body had been rolled down a small embankment. The area was near where police found Ramsara's cell phone.
Ramsaran’s minivan, cell phone and body were all located within approximately twelve miles of one another along the state Highway 23 corridor, stated the police.
Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran, Jennifer's husband said the police came to his house on Tuesday night and asked for Jennifer's dental records and other medical information he had which were taken to the medical examiner. Two days later he received a phone call from the Chenango County Sheriff's office confirming the body they found belonged to his wife, reports WBNG news.
On Jennifer's Facebook page, Remy posted: "“I would like to thank all those who gave up many precious hours of their own lives to help look for Jennifer. To all of the friends and family of both mine and Jennifer’s, I thank you.”
The cause of death has not been released and the sheriff's office is continuing their investigation.
