A nine-year-old Ohio girl has been found dead in a dumpster behind her house at the trailer park where she lived. Reann Murphy was reported missing at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to NBC News on Dec. 15.

Deputies responded to the missing girl report, searching the area around her Smithville, Ohio home for hours. She was last seen playing outside her home at about 5:30 p.m., her family reported.

Police found the little girl’s limp body in a dumpster in the trailer park about five hours after they started their search. The girl was found at approximately 1:30 a.m. and then the search was on for the killer of this little girl.

Police arrested 24-year-old Jarrod Metsger, who lived about 50 yards from the house where little Reann lived. He is a family acquaintance. It is unknown what led police to Metsger, but according to the police, he is the only one arrested in connection with the death of the girl.

Metsger is due to be arraigned in court on charges of aggravated murder on Monday. While there’s no motive determined as of yet for the killing of this girl, investigators are actively working this case to find all the answers when it comes to the death of this child.
