Police are looking into a possible connection between the body found in an Indiana Lake and that of Dr. Teleka Patrick.
The body was discovered by a fisherman who reported to police that he had spotted something suspicious floating in Lake Charles, in the town of Porter, Ind., just after 7 a.m. yesterday, authorities said.
The body was recovered from the Indiana lake by state officials who arrived at the scene. Until an autopsy is completed, police have said they cannot positively identify the body. But they have confirmed that it is a female dressed in dark clothing.

The family of Dr. Patrick were notified by authorities and have issued a statement.
“Our family was informed that a body was found that may be our daughter Teleka Patrick,” the family said. “We are waiting for official confirmation from the Kalamazoo Sheriff’s Department and have no comment at this time. Thank you for your continued prayers — we ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
Dr. Teleka Patrick mysteriously disappeared last December. She was last seen at the Radisson hotel not far from the hospital where she worked.
