You've asked and I'll answer the question: "How do I lose fat?" First let's look at what body fat actually is so we then have a better idea of how to lose it.
Healthy body weight on a scale has two aspects. One is your body fat (adipose)and the other is fat free weight. This weight is composed of your muscles, bones, blood, and organs.
We need body fat because it is stored energy. These fat cells can be found between your skin and muscles all over the body.
If you have had your body fat measured you may remember that it is a percentage of your total body weight that is carried as fat. In general (I am emphasizing general.) a healthy body fat percentage is between 18 to 25 percent for women and 12 to 18 percent for men.
