Bode Miller injures knee; pulls out of his final Olympic event

Bode Miller was back on the Olympic course chasing gold on Wednesday. One of the most decorated male Olympic skiers of all time came up short, but more importantly hurt his knee. According to CBS News on Wednesday, the skier is hurt bad enough that he won’t be competing in the final event. He was slated to be part of Sochi's final alpine event, the slalom.

The injury happened on the first run on the slopes. His knee obviously was causing him issues and he described the situation to others as his knee got “janked.” While he still was in pain, he did decide on pursuing his second run in the event and his score definitely reflected the injury concern.

Since Bode Miller is done with the Sochi Olympics after pulling out of the final event. It could be that his Olympic career is over too. However the accomplished skier has to be proud as he leaves Sochi with one bronze medal, which he earned in the super-G when he tied for third place.

Bodi Miller will never be forgotten when it comes to the competitions on the slopes. The skier has always offered his best when it comes to the skills he shows on the mountain.
