Bode Miller and Sara McKenna have come to a custody agreement regarding their nine-month-old son. NBC News shared the details on Dec. 9.

Miller and McKenna had been battling over the custody arrangement for months. While specifics of the agreement have not been released, both parents will have time with the child on agreed upon dates. The two have said they believe the agreement is in the best interest of their son. Sara McKenna calls the boy Sam, while Bode Miller and his wife Morgan call him Nate.

Though the process has been brutal, McKenna now says she is “extremely happy with what happened” in terms of the custody agreement. The child will get to travel with the Millers for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and Miller has said he's happy the two sides are now able to work together. After the hearing, Bode Miller said, “We're psyched about the co-parenting plan.”

People have been very opinionated about the details in this case. Sara McKenna was criticized both publicly and by officials involved in the courts, but Bode Miller and his wife Morgan have been heavily criticized as well. Luckily for the young boy, both sides have found a way to work together and seem to be pleased with where things stand now.
