That’s right Rochestarian gospel fans, Bobby Jones Gospel will be performing Friday November 18th at the Main Street Armory in downtown Rochester. Tickets are priced between $35-$65 dollars per person and some are still available.

Upstate NY is very diverse in terms of religious followings, denominations and beliefs. However the one commonality is that many find peace in listening to gospel music. In fact one of the most prominent radio stations 103.9 WDKX, has dedicated every Sunday morning solely to this music for decades which is something that remains to be an uncontested, cleansing and unifying experience for listeners across the region. Furthermore, many residents in this area’s families have strong, deep southern roots; the south being notoriously deeply religious as compared to others regions in the U.S.
