If There’s Something About Mary struck a cord for quality and humor in a movie, then definitely direct attention to the upcoming Super Bowl commercial for the Samsung 90-second ad showcasing Samsung’s Galaxy Note. It was announced on Tuesday that Farrelly was part of the ad pitching the super phone. The commercial will air during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game.
Wondering what a Hollywood movie and a new product has to do with a producer? Well, Bobby Farrelly, the well-known producer of the There’s Something About Mary, is debuting his first Super Bowl commercial for Samsung. The director is a Rhode Island native and known well around Hollywood for his keen eye in making films. Bobby Farrelly along with his brother Peter Farrelly have brought some great movies to the theaters including Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin.
This is the first Super Bowl commercial for Samsung and the company has been in business for over 70 years. Add to that fact that this is Farrelly’s first commercial and a lot is at stake to make the public notice Samsung’s Galaxy Note.
