Bobby Brown is in jail to serve 55 days for a DUI, reported CNN, March 20. However, according to Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Brown, 44, will likely be released in eight or nine days due to good behavior and overcrowding rules.
Although Brown claimed in May 2012 that he has been drug free for seven years, alcohol is considered a drug. Brown has been arrested for DUI three times, twice in 2012. Most of Brown's fans probably hope the R&B artist gets some effective alcohol rehabilitation counseling to prevent further DUI convictions.
Brown was married to Whitney Houston from 1992 to 2007. On Feb. 11, 2012, Houston died at the age of 48 after accidentally drowning in a Beverly Hilton hotel bathtub. Cocaine was found in the singer's system. Although many people assumed Brown was responsible for Whitney's drug problems, Whitney's brother confirmed Bobby was not responsible and that it was he who played a role. "I would say, yeah. We did everything together," said Michael Houston. "You gotta understand at the time . . . the '80s . . . it was acceptable."
Bobby Brown is in jail, but do you think he is willing to get help to try and overcome his alcohol problem?
