Bob Woodward, who along with Carl Bernstein brought down President Nixon back in the 70s, has called the Obama administration a a "rat's nest of concealment and lies." He could have well added that it is run like a mafioso family, complete with threats and harsh punishments for not taking an offer you can't refuse. Woodward, himself was threatened, when he exposed that the sequester came from Obama and not the republicans.
“They need to review the this secret world and its power in their government because you run into this rats nest of concealment and lies time and time again then and now. "Face the Nation” Sunday. “You get to a point where it’s what do you worry about? Secret governments.”
Woodward goes on to criticize Obamacare and he alludes to the amateurs working in the White House (who were selected by ideology and not previous success) as why the roll out was such a disaster. Woodward also alluded to the raid on the Osama bin Laden compound. He pointed out that the operation was run by Leon Panetta, an experienced hand in dotting the i's and crossing the t's. It is a stark contrast to the way Obamacare was handled.
“We were talking earlier about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. That was run by Leon Panetta, who was CIA director, who knew to make sure you checked all of the boxes, and they literally had a place…a compound that they reconstructed and…they practiced. And we didn’t even practice Obamacare.”
This administration has no regard for a free press. They are the enemy. That is why they bug hundreds of phones belonging to reporters or steal their notes by staging a fake gun raid like they did with Audrey Hudson. And let's face it, when you threaten a reporter's access, you threaten their livlihood as well families.
This administration also has no compulsion against putting the full power of the federal government against those it sees as enemies. The IRS, the EPA, and the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) have all been used as weapons.
Under Obama , the United States is no longer a government of the people, by the people, for the people, but one ruled by ideology. Perhaps Obama is right. The United States is no longer exceptional. But that is because our leaders are no longer exceptional.
