Bob Uecker, who had heart surgery in April, is ready to return to the Milwaukee Brewers' broadcast booth. Uecker has been the Brewers' announcer for 40 years, and will get back in the booth Friday as the team plays the Washington Nationals. The game starts at Miller Park at 7:10 p.m.
Bob Uecker Will Give Press Conference Friday Before the Game
Uecker has been recovering from an operation that reparied an aortic aneurysm. He'll talk about his operation and recovery at a press conference Friday at 3:00 p.m. Uecker is the longest running Major League Baseball broadcaster and received the Ford Frick Award in 2003. The award was given by the National Baseball Hall of Fame for his contribution to baseball broadcasting.
Uecker's Film and TV Credits
Uecker played the Cleveland Indians broadcaster Harry Doyle in the movie Major League, and was also on the sitcom Mr. Belvedere.
