Bob Newhart is returning to “The Big Bang Theory” as Professor Proton to celebrate a special “Star Wars” episode of the show, Hollywood News Daily reported on April 3.

According to the report, Newhart will appear in Sheldon’s visions as a Jedi Master who councils him in the themed episode.

Bob Newhart’s “Big Bang Theory” cameo will be part of a special “Star Wars” day theme, which will air in honor of the geeky cult holiday, which occurs on May 4.

“May the fourth be with you,” is a common saying on the day, which is beloved by “Star Wars” fans across the world.

The special “Star Wars” episode of “The Big Bang Theory” will air on May 1, and is sure to be a hit with fans of TV’s highest rated comedy show.
