Bob Morris- Florida mystery writer

Bob Morris is the author of the five novels in the Zack Chasteen series of mysteries set in Florida and the Caribbean. Mr. Morris is a fourth generation Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida. His series of mysteries are Caribbean themed crime dramas filled with colorful characters mixed in with familiar Florida locations and exotic island settings.
The first novel in the series is titled Bahamarama, published in November of 2004. It was a finalist for the Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best First Mystery Novel and was chosen by the Library Journal as one of the year’s Top Five Mysteries.
The series continues with Jamaica Me Dead, Bermuda Schwartz, A Deadly Silver Sea, and Baja Florida.
Mr. Morris has also published several collections of essays, including Short Road To Hell, The Man With The Fish On His Foot, Gut Check, All Over the Map, and The Whole Shebang.

Mr. Morris is a former newspaper columnist for the Orlando Sentinel and a magazine editor. He has contributed to National Geographic Traveler, Bon Appetit, Islands, Caribbean Travel & Life, Men’s Fitness, Virtuoso Life, and numerous other publications.
He is a two-time winner of the Lowell Thomas Award for travel writing and a recipient of the Ernie Pyle Award for outstanding human interest writing in America.
Mr. Morris currently resides in Winter Park, Florida and teaches creative writing at Rollins College.
He is a chronic world traveler, even spending time at a farming commune in Israel. He continues to travel as research for freelance projects and upcoming novels.
