Citibank has announced that the new Dylan album,“Christmas In The Heart”, will be available one week before the official release date to customers enrolled in Citibank’s rewards program. The album drops on October 13 in the United States. While maybe slightly unusual in a career full of surprises - including the holiday album in question - there are still people who will never understand.

Dirty Linen reports the Folk Alliance Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Dylan, as well as Elizabeth Cotton. Dylan has covered some of Cotton’s songs (see below).
Glastonburyfest has hinted that Bob Dylan may play the Pyramid Stage at the festival in 2010. Tickets are expected to go on sale in a few weeks. While they said it was a “weak rumour”, it was also pointed out that a big headliner was needed for the 40th anniversary next year.
