The night after Dylan played The Point in Dublin on February 5, 1993, Morrison played the same venue. Dylan played harmonica on "Baby Blue", while Chrissie Hynde, Kris Kristofferson, and Steve Winwood joined on backing vocals. Later that year, on June 12, Dylan played a short set at London's Fleadh Festival. Morrison joined Dylan for a version of "One Irish Rover". When Dylan returned to The Point as the last stop of his spring 1995 tour, his was joined during the encores by Carole King, Elvis Costello, and Morrison.

The next on-stage collaboration was at Norway's Molde Jazz Festival on July 19, 1996, when Morrison sang "I Shall Be Released" and "Real Real Gone", which, like "One Irish Rover", was covered by Dylan on his own.
