Welcome to the Bob Dylan 70th birthday countdown.
Today we feature the Rolling Stones, and their new cover of Bob Dylan's "Watching The River Flow".
The band, including former bassist Bill Wyman, reunited for Ben Waters' tribute to the Stones' original piano player, Ian Stewart. The album, Boogie 4 Stu, which features various Stones on a number of tracks, is scheduled to be released April 19 on the Eagle Records label.
Here's the line-up, courtesy IORR:
Keith Richards (guitar), Mick Jagger (vocals, harmonica), Charlie Watts (drums), Ronnie Wood (guitar), and Bill Wyman (bass), with Ben Waters (piano), Tony Waters (alto sax), Willy Garnet and Don Wellor (sax), Alex Garnet (baritone sax), and Dave Swift (tambourine).
This is the first Rolling Stones recording featuring Bill Wyman since 1992, although the band was not all in the studio at the same time.
Mick Jagger is currently working on a solo album with Dave Stewart.
Enjoy !
