Concern for the fate of experienced hiker and outdoorsman John Arum, son of famed Manny Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum, continues to grow as a search continues in a mountainous area near Seattle.

SEE ASSOCIATED PRESS UPDATE, INCLUDING TODD DUBOEF QUOTES.

I spoke with Bob Arum at about 7 pm Wednesday night and he confirmed there was no news as to the whereabouts and condition of his 49 year old son. John Arum is a well-known environmental and tribal lawyer who is part of a large Seattle based firm.

Ninety minutes before the start of Wedneday's Antonio Margarito-Pacquiao press conference, a Top Rank spokesman told me there was still no definitive word from Washington.

The second presser is slated to begin about 12:30 EDT at the popular Chelsea Piers complex along the Hudson River in Manhattan.

The fighters then go to Texas where they will attend a Cowboys NFL preseason game Thursday night at Cowboys Stadium and hold the third and final presser Friday.

Pacquiao easily defeated Joshua Clottey when they fought March 13 in Jerry Jones' $1.2 billion football playpen.

Bob Arum knew about the search for his son before the Tuesday Beverly Hills presser but conducted it anyway. He and wife Lovee then departed by plane for Seattle.

John Arum's mother was the promoter's first of three wives, Lovee being his current spouse.

Her son and Bob's stepson, Todd duBoef, will run the New York and Arlington press conferences.

Hall of Fame promoter Arum turns 79 on Dec. 8.

Did you drive a flux-capacitor outfitted Delorean to speak to Bob, hours into the future? Your post shows it was posted today (Wednesday 09/01/10) at 11:05; I read it today at 13:30; and you spoke to Bob tonight at 19:00?

Come on, Mr. Marley...in general I find your articles informative and sometimes funny when you pump up the satire, but it's getting tiresome now to continually read typos and other puntuation/grammatical/etc. errors. It's like you type up and rush out your articles to post without giving them a second time over to proof read them. Try to show a little pride, accuracy and professionalism in your work. Other than that, I still respect you.

    Peace out, baby.
