Boater safety classes are a must in order to operate a boat in Maryland waters if you are younger than a certain age, and a definite recommendation for anyone who wants to operate a vessel anywhere. Taking such a class, whether in person or online, can benefit you in many ways, including saving you money on your boaters insurance premiums.

According to an a notice sent out by the United States Coast Guard Auxilliary, "· Do you operate a boat in Maryland waters?

· Were you born after July 1, 1972?

Maryland State law requires you to complete an approved boating safety course in order to operate a registered vessel in Maryland waters.

Take the boating safety course taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary at the Marshy Point Nature Center, 7130 Marshy Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21220.

This 8-hour course (4 two hour sessions) will be offered on multiple dates:

Feb 22 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Feb 23 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Mar 15 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Mar 16 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Mar 29 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Mar 30 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Apr 12 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Apr 13 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
