Boat show comes to downtown Md

February 22 - 150th anniversary of The Emancipation Proclamation. Come and celebrate the 150th anniversary of The Emancipation Proclamation. Featuring the Annapolis Drum and Bugle Corp, Mt Calvary U.M. Church dancers and mimes, AHS Chorus, Band, and Dancers. 6:30-8 p.m. at Annapolis High School.

February 23 - Gambrills Athletic Club 9U Bull Roast. There will be a silent auction, "spirits" wheel, cash wheel and 50/50 raffle! Must be 21 years or older to attend. $30 pp. 7 p.m. - midnight at Gambrills Athletic Club.

February 23 - Bay Area Shuckers vs. Alexandria Avengers. The Shuckers have a shot to make their mark on the area sports scene by winning the first professional basketball division title in the Baltimore metro area since the Baltimore Bullets. $10 general admission. 7 p.m. at the Kilby Center at Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn.

February 24 - The Plummers' Kitchen. Using the open hearth in the re-created dependency kitchen, the Riversdale Kitchen Guild demonstrates foods typical of early 19th century African American residents. $3 admission. 12-3:15 p.m. at Riversdale House Museum in Riverdale Park.

February 24 - 4th annual Chili Cook-Off. Chili to be judged by a panel of 5 judges. Trophies and cash prizes to top three cooks. All chili to be offered for sale immediately following judging. $20 entrance fee. 1-5 p.m. at the American Legion Post #226 in Mayo.

February 28 - The Bounty of the Chesapeake- Cooking Demo, Book Signing, Lecture. Katie Moose will demonstrate how to prepare recipes from her new cookbook. Tickets $17.50. 7-8:30 p.m. at Annapolis Maritime Museum in Annapolis.

February 28 - March 3 - 2013 Progressive Insurance Baltimore Boat Show. Boat browsing and buying is just the beginning of the fun at the Progressive Insurance Baltimore Boat Show, with a variety of attractions. Admission. Thursday & Friday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m - 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.
