While the name may not sound familiar, Chris Cadovino plays Tonino Sandrelli, the man for killing off his crazed boss, Gyp Rosetti on HBO's hit period drama, "Boardwalk Empire." On March 13 The Hollywood Reporter shares that while Sandrelli was told to flee and save his own life, he didn't go far and will play a larger role in season four.
Caldovino has signed a new contract that will put him on air for a minimum of five episodes of season four. He will be playing an under boss of Joe Masseria, presumably taking over the role that Gyp filled with a slightly less crazy streak.
In the season three finale of "Boardwalk Empire" he was persuaded to go into hiding after killing Gyp by Nucky Thompson, the man that runs Atlantic City. There is no telling yet whether or not he will be coming back to Atlantic City as New York seems like it is going to serve a larger role in the show.
Caldovino isn't the only newer member joining the cast this year as he will be joined by Jeffrey Wright and Ron Livingston.
How do you feel about having Tonino Sandrelli play an under boss?
