For those who couldn’t be there in person, Time Warner Cable streamed the event via its Facebook page, and the full video can be viewed here. The video is about two hours and 15 minutes long, but a lot of the interviews and close-up of the stars don’t happen until after the first hour.
The Wall Street Journal was able to ask a few questions to some of the actors, including leading man Steve Buscemi, who attended the ceremony with his wife, Jo Andres. When asked if the late James Gandolfini had a helping hand in Buscemi’s portrayal of Nucky Thompson, he replied: “I just learned a lot from him because he was such a generous actor and just a wonderful human being and very dedicated to his craft and to his friends and family.”
Another reporter asked what fans can expect from this season, and Buscemi just said: “Mayhem.” While smiling, he added: “That’s it. That’s all I got.”
“Boardwalk Empire” returns Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
