Blustery weather continues with plenty of sunshine for Presidents' Day (Photos)

Low pressure in the Canadian Maritimes will continue to move away this morning, allowing the pressure gradient across our region to weaken as high pressure briefly builds in. It will remain rather blustery and chilly, especially in the first part of the day, with plenty of sunshine giving way to some increasing clouds late. A frontal system will then approach the region on Tuesday with a chance of a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain, but it will be more of a nuisance with only light amounts expected.

Today – Mostly sunny and breezy with increasing high clouds late. High 24-28. Winds northwest between 15 and 20 mph, gusting up to 30 mph.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy. Low 15-19. Winds west between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday – Cloudy with a chance of snow and sleet in the morning, then rain likely in the afternoon, mixing with sleet and freezing rain in the higher terrain. High 39-43. Winds south between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent.

Tuesday Night – Cloudy with a chance of snow showers in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy after midnight. Low 23-27. Winds south between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Wednesday – Partly sunny and breezy with a slight chance of flurries and snow showers. High 29-33. Winds west between 15 and 20 mph, gusting up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 20 percent.

Friday – Partly sunny with increasing clouds late. Low 15-19. High 33-37.
