In a recent and refreshing political ad, Rep. Earl Blumenauer of Portland, Oregon, is standing up for what is right, and standing up for the Democratic party.
Rather than running away from the Democrats, Blumenauer is standing tall. Blumenauer's modest celebration of Democratic accomplishments is an accurate and fair representation in a sea of hyperbolic political fog.
Rep. Blumenauer released the following blog post earlier this week via The Hill:
Today, my campaign is launching an ad telling voters what we're proud of in this Democratic Congress.
I'm proud that we passed a healthcare bill to end the abuses of insurance companies.
I'm proud that we are finally bringing our troops home from the misguided war in Iraq.
And I'm proud that we reformed Wall Street regulation to put a stop to the abuse by greedy banks.
Are these reforms perfect? Of course not, but they are absolutely better than where we were when Democrats took office. This November, Democrats must disappoint the loud voices that want to move our country backwards by GETTING OUT AND VOTING.
I'm Earl Blumenauer, and I'm proud to be a Democrat. You should be, too.

All this political din is making everyone deaf. And mean.
And the sad fact is... everybody we send to Washington becomes absorbed by the political Borg.

I am happy for Mr. Blumenauer because he can run an ad and praise the democratic party and all their accomplishments. I am sure that in reality he sleeps like a baby every night, he wakes up every couple of hours and cries.
I am sure looking forward to the day when Barry and the idiots that support him get flushed down the toilet and out of our lives.
Yes Earl is proud to be a Democrat who would like to find his way into every aspect of our personal life from where and when we drive, to forcing us to purchase health insurance and forcing businesses to fire employees in order to afford his BIG Government mandates.
