Blues on the Green = top-notch performances for free

Austin’s favorite free summer concert series is back! Blues on the Green began its 20th season of free concerts in June and has performers scheduled through August 18.

Concerts are held every other Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., June through August. Admission is free, thanks to 93.3 KGSR, which hosts Blues on the Green every summer. The concert series features some of the top names in music. Upcoming performances include the BoDeans on July 21, Charlie Mars on August 4, and Raul Malo on August 18.

Last year, concerts were held in Waterloo Park due to renovations under way in Zilker Park, but renovations are complete, and the concert series is back home in Zilker. Shows are family friendly, and dogs on leashes are welcome. Seating is open, so be sure to bring a picnic blanket and/or a chair. Local vendors offer refreshments for sale at booths onsite, but outside water (2 factory-sealed bottles) is allowed.

Information about parking, location and other frequently asked questions can be found on KGSR’s Blues on the Green FAQ page.
