The festival brings together some of the region's best blues artist, local craft beers, and barbecued food for the day long event. Filled to the brim with music, drink and food; the local event starts at 1 P.M. and lasts to 10 P.M.
The afternoon will feature music from Craig Thachter’s “Blues Akustiko”; Dugan Thomas; and the James Supra, Sarah Ayers Quartet. While the evening will showcase music from the Billy Hector Band; Alexis P. Suter and the Clarance Spady Band.
Food vendors will include the Allentown Brew Works, Grumpy’s Bar-B-cue Roadhouse, Baby Got "Que", Kirby’s Smokehouse and Mr. BBQ 911. Additionally Aw Shucks Roasted Corn, Danny’s Fine Food, Goodies Fudge and Chocolate Artisans, Hawaiian Shaved Ice and Peter Piper’s Pennsylvania Pickles will have offerings, too.
The middle of the day will feature a barbecue competition that will see the food vendors judged in five categories of chicken, beef, pork, baked beans and salads. The judges will base their opinions about the food's characteristics in unique quality, taste, and style presentation.
The panel is composed of representatives from local media outlets, area businesses, Allentown's city officials, and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce members.
If you are over 21; Fegley Brew Works, the Colony Meadery, and Gieger Beverages will have craft beer and domestic offering on tap through out the day.
Additionally there will be various artist and craft vendors featuring their wares for sale: Case De Jorge Salsa, Emily Bean Jewelry, Fid’s Creations, Promiseland Murals, the Second Story Blues Alliance, Alternative Gallery, Wear At Your Own Wrists, and the Buzz Box.
