Blue Rodeo adds 2014 summer tour dates

Blue Rodeo has added a couple of new dates to their 2014 summer tour schedule.

According to a news release posted April at, the veteran Canuck roots rockers will celebrate Canada Day with a show on July 4 in Lewiston, N.Y at Artpark, as well as headlining Aug. 2 in Tyne Valley, PE at Rock The Boat Music Festival.

Special guest on the Artpark date will be Canuck alt-rockers 54-40.

Pre-sales for Artpark begin April 7 with general on sales beginning Fri. April 11.

Rock The Boat Music Festival will also feature Great Big Sea's Alan Doyle, Jimmy Rankin, Meaghan Blanchard and others. Tickets are on sale now.

Blue Rodeo wrapped up the east coast leg of their winter Canadian tour in support of their latest studio album "In Our Nature" in Montreal last month and were recently among the winners of the prestigious 2014 Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.

The band also been named the official ambassadors of Record Store Day 2014 in Canada, which is set for Sat., April 19 and will be reissuing their classic 1989 album "Diamond Mine" as a double LP on blue and green 180-gram vinyl to commemorate the event.
